Te gloriosus Apostolorum chorus, te prophetarum laudabilis numerus, te martyrum candidatus laudat exercitus. Te per orbem terrarum sancta confitetur Ecclesia, Patrem immensae maiestatis, venerandum tuum verum et unicum Filium, Sanctum quoque Paraclitum Spiritum. Tu rex gloriae , Christe. Tu patris sempiternus es Filius. Tu, ad liberandum suscepturus hominem, non horuisti Virginis uterum. Tu, devicto mortis aculeo, aperuisti credentibus regna caelorum. Dignare Domine die isto sine peccato nos custodire. Miserere nostri Domine, miserere nostri. Fiat misericordia tua , Domine, super nos, quemadmodum speravimus in te. In te, Domine, speravi : non confundar in aeternum. 3. About this version of Te Deum Te Deum is a very old Christian hymn from "Ambrozian chorale". There is an endlless beauty as well as a large dimension Christian hymnical prayer in lyrics of Te Deum. This version is written by Paul Lutner - Christian teacher and songwriter from the Czech Republic. This is DEMO-VERSION only. Its a concept for future (?) recording and production works. This web site is a place for your advice, suggestions and (maybe?) support. Thank you for everything. This is NOT an advertising or commercial web site. Thank you for your understanding. 4. More information and views about this version of Te Deum 1. Songs prayer - a way of this Te Deum version This Te Deum is guitar music. It was written and recorded with 2 guitar in arranged stuff. The guitar is a leading and respected instrument of these days. But not only present time gives a good opportunity for the guitar and any other string instruments. The Old Testament time used many kinds of string instruments (guitar, lute, lyra.....etc). Using these instrument for a songs prayer is typical for Old Testament times. King David was (from this point of view) a pioneer singing a prayer with a string accompaniment. Te Deum by Paul Lutner is return back - to everyday songs prayer with the guitar. 2. The old times had an interesting way of music: family music. Women were singing, dancing and playing the hand percussion. Men - husbands accompanied them on string instruments (lute, guitar ... ) You may hear the echo this "oldtime" music way in Te Deum. 3. The folk-rock style of this Te Deum This Te Deum is a kind of folk-rock music. We may find riffs in some parts of this music (Riff - is very typical for rock sound). Folk is also used here. This style is famous for its "talking" way of singing. 4. This Te Deum is - Te Deum for an ordinary day Last centuries - Te Deum was only used for festive occasions. It was usually played with a great orchestra and choir. Paul Lutners Te Deum is very different. It is music for "man with guitar" and his friends. It is everyday music. You might not like this version of Te Deum. But maybe it has been written just to your taste. 5. I will never forget the fine times at home - in my flat. Me and my friends, brothers and my sister took the music instruments - guitars, percussions hand sets, flutes....We were playing, talking, singing... the time full of joy, music, beauty,...peace... In this atmosphere we created an interesting guitar sound - our own sound. This kind of sound is the source for my todays music. Therefore I may say that this Te Deum is friendly and family music. There were a few authors notes about this version of Te Deum. Thank you for you attention. Paul Lutner 5. Contacts I will be happy to hear you reactions, notices, suggestions, advices, support.
